A Day At the Mall

There was no need for a clock
As the sun rose upon our faces
It was to be one day to remember
A day at the mall

So many common memories still to share
We so ought to live next door from each other
And a week's all we have for now
And today's at the mall

Best friends, not yet lovers
Waiting on the grass
Catching up with the years, postponninh their first kiss
Whispering in your ear
That here
I'm happy at the mall

There was nothing to be ashammed of
No guilt to weight on our shoulders
Just a spell we were under
In the heat of the summer
Next to someone that we loved
